‘Lamba!’ Lady implicates MTN, alleges breach of trust

In an attempt to contribute to a discussion online, a lady with Twitter handle @Est_didi has alleged that the telecommunication giant, MTN, released her call logs to her father on his request.

The lady claimed her dad then took his time to call each of the entries to demand reasons for the call.

Didi of Malaysia wrote;

“Lol, my dad legit called MTN to give him a list of all my incoming and outgoing calls. They did. and this man sat down to call every single number on that list!!!!!!!!!

“If he sees a call last more than 2 mins and it is not to his number, he calls that person to know what they are discussing with me. And you people are telling me it is not MENT???????”

Trust Nigerians. They were quick to point out one sore point in her narrative; telecoys don’t have the right to reveal such information to a third party.

She was thoroughly trolled!

This is rubbish kinda shit! How can MTN give what is meant to be private out like this.. African parents and their wahala

Did he get court order for that or you just want to trend??

— Young Elder (@yungelda) January 2, 2021

Lol you and your dad are really mad people because I don’t get how you lie with so much audacity, you need to get a court other before getting call history so I don know how your dad did it ooo

Why have you not responded to mtn? pic.twitter.com/0EQnQX3SIO

Even the accused responded.

Y’ello. Your tweet caught our attention. Please know that MTN will not disclose customers’ details to third party request as our customers’ privacy is our utmost priority. ~CO/1

As at the time of publishing this, the lady was yet respond to MTN’s request.
