According to Le Parisien, Henry does not want to give up his punditry roles.
It is also believed the former Arsenal and Barcelona striker would rather be a head coach than an assistant coach.
Nagelsmann is the favourite to replace Christophe Galtier at the Ligue 1 champions.
Galtier is expected to be sacked by PSG after just one season in charge, despite leading the club to the Ligue 1 title.
His tenure saw the club suffer a disappointing round-of-16 exit in the Champions League.
