The singer disclosed that their relationship deteriorated after she refused to believe Burna Boy’s denial of impregnating Uju Stella, a claim he later admitted to publicly eight years later.
“For those of you sending me messages to reach out to Burna Boy, I wouldn’t. If it was me, I would reach out, but he is probably still mad I didn’t believe he didn’t impregnate Uju Stella in 2016,” Madrina wrote.
“That’s what most men do. They lie and get mad when you don’t believe them.”
Madrina expressed no animosity toward Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, wishing him well despite their unresolved differences.
“Something he finally admitted to online eight years later. Y’all leave me alone. All the best, Damini,” she added.
Her revelations reignited discussions on social media about the 2016 controversy involving Uju Stella, who claimed she was pregnant with Burna Boy’s child.
At the time, the drama drew significant public attention, with Burna Boy initially denying the allegations before later acknowledging them.
Fans have since weighed in on the situation, with some sympathising with Madrina’s decision to maintain her distance, while others encouraged her to let bygones be bygones.
The incident underscores the complexities of relationships in the entertainment industry, where personal and professional lives often intertwine.
Madrina, who recently made headlines for speaking out against exploitation in the music industry, continues to chart her own course.
Fans hope her openness about the past signifies a path toward personal growth and renewed focus on her music career.
