With over four decades of impactful journalism, Danisa has not only defined the contours of Nigerian tabloid media but elevated it into a powerful platform for truth-telling and social transformation.

Widely known as “Nigeria’s Queen of Tabloid Journalism,” her fearless investigations, engaging storytelling, and entrepreneurial drive have earned her national acclaim and industry respect.

“Moji’s leadership and innovation in storytelling resonate widely with the public,” said Jide Oyekunle, Secretary of the NUJ FCT Council, noting her unique blend of entertainment and investigative depth that challenges stereotypes surrounding tabloid journalism.

Beginning her journey as a young reporter, Danisa rose through the editorial ranks to become a respected sub-editor and later took the bold step of founding her own media ventures.

Her editorial leadership spans notable roles including Editor of Climax Magazine, Editor-in-Chief of Whispers Magazine, and Founder of City News, Nigeria’s first Tabloid, fashioned after the then British ‘News of the World’.

She has also penned influential columns for leading newspapers such as The Guardian, Sun Newspapers, Weekend Concord, Hallmark and PM News.

Moji’s leadership and innovation in storytelling resonate widely with the public,” said Jide Oyekunle, Secretary of the NUJ FCT Council.

Beyond print, her impact resonates in television and film. As a founding staff member of BTV (now EBS) and Africa Independent Television (AIT), she produced award-winning shows and served as News Manager.

Today, she leads Paparazzi Press as CEO, while also serving as Director at WOW Communications. Her ventures reflect not just media excellence but entrepreneurial vision, cementing her place as a formidable force in Nigerian journalism.

She also ventured into Nollywood in the early years, appearing in two movies, notably, Zeb Ejiro’s box office hit, Domittila.

Danisa’s commitment to mentoring young journalists, especially women, underscores her role as a beacon for the next generation. “We need more women like Moji to continue to speak truth to power,” said Grace Ike, NUJ FCT Chairperson.

The award from the NUJ FCT Council is a celebration of her lifelong dedication to reshaping journalism with courage, clarity, and compassion.

As she prepares to accept the honour, Moji Danisa continues to champion a media landscape rooted in accountability, inspiration, and bold storytelling.

“Moji Danisa is a gift to our profession,” Ike added. “Her courage inspires us all to tell stories that matter.”
