Most respected Awori king, Olota of Otta Awori Kingdom, commends Grand Oak ahead Ita Oba Day fiesta

His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D., MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), the Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount & Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, has lauded Grand Oak Limited, the renowned makers of Seaman’s Aromatic Schnapps, for their steadfast support of the upcoming Ita Oba Day Fiesta. The festival is scheduled to take place on the second day of Ileya in the historic city of Otta.

In a statement released by Ààfin Ọba Aláṣẹ Ìlú Otta Àwórì and made available to Freelanews, it was noted that the Grand Oak team, led by Marketing Manager Mr. Gbemileke Lawal, visited the city on Friday, June 7, 2024.

The visit reiterated the importance of Seaman’s sponsorship and the company’s dedication to preserving cultural traditions.

Mr. Lawal expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty for his exceptional support and leadership, especially during the company’s recent challenges with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). He assured His Majesty of Grand Oak’s ongoing commitment to supporting and promoting the Awori identity and traditions.

His Majesty praised Grand Oak for their unwavering support and alignment with ancient royal customs. He urged the brand to continue its efforts in preserving culture and traditions globally, in line with their shared vision.

“The steadfast support of Grand Oak and Seaman’s Aromatic Schnapps has been instrumental in ensuring that our cultural heritage is celebrated and preserved,” said His Majesty. “Their commitment to our traditions is commendable, and I urge them to continue their excellent work.”

The Ita Oba Day celebration is an annual event dedicated to honoring the Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom. Over the years, this vibrant fiesta has evolved into a significant celebration that combines tradition with modern glamour, providing an occasion where fun, excitement, and elegance intertwine with the rich and ancient traditions of the Otta Awori people.

The upcoming event promises to be a grand affair, celebrating the heritage and culture of the Awori Kingdom while also paying tribute to the beloved monarch. It serves as a reminder of the importance of cultural preservation and the role of corporate support in achieving this goal.

As preparations for the Ita Oba Day Fiesta continue, the community looks forward to a successful and memorable event, bolstered by the continued support of esteemed partners like Grand Oak Limited.
