‘My mom was a baddie’ – says Davido

Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that his late mom, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, was a “baddie.”

The ‘OBO’ crooner disclosed this while remembering his late mother in a recent post on Instagram.

Sharing a picture of his late mom in her academic regalia, Davido wrote: “My mom was a baddie.”

Freelanews recalls that Davido’s mum, Mrs Veronica Adeleke, died on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39.

She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido would later earn a degree in music.

She also founded a band called ‘Davido’s Band’ in honour of her son.

Davido’s two daughters, Imade and Hailey, are named after her.
