[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he mysterious Abuja Hotel Death of a young woman, Aladi Johnson, also known as Tessy, has sparked public outrage and concern across Nigeria.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has now commenced a discreet investigation into the incident, which occurred in a hotel room in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.
A disturbing viral video circulating on social media brought the tragic event to public attention.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, Tessy checked into the hotel on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on June 16, 2025.
She was accompanied by an unidentified male. Hotel staff later noticed that the man had left the premises without her.
“Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim, later identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, a female from Benue State, checked into a hotel located at 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on 16th June, 2025, in the company of an unidentified male who was later observed to have exited the premises without her,” Adeh confirmed. Hotel personnel discovered Tessy unconscious during routine service rounds and immediately alerted the Police. She received confirmation of death upon medical evaluation.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT, Ajao Adewale, has ordered a thorough and discreet probe into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death.
Commissioner Adewale urged members of the public to remain calm. He asked them to allow the police to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
Adewale also issued an advisory to young women. He counselled them to exercise caution in their dealings with unfamiliar individuals.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of keeping trusted family or friends informed of their whereabouts for safety reasons.
