[dropcap]N[/dropcap]igerian musician Naira Marley has finally spoken out about the tragic death of Mohbad, addressing accusations that linked him to the incident.In an emotional statement, he expressed his pain over being blamed while insisting that the truth will eventually emerge.
Reflecting on his relationship with Mohbad, Naira Marley stated that they had made peace before his passing. He acknowledged past misunderstandings but maintained that their conflicts were business-related, not personal.
He accused those close to Mohbad of knowing the truth but allowing the public to blame him instead.
“You let them tear me apart. You let them call me a killer while you sat there, knowing the truth,” he said.
The Marlian Records boss also addressed allegations that he fled after Mohbad’s death.
He refuted claims of being a fugitive, stating that he willingly submitted himself to the justice system, spent time in detention, and faced all accusations.
“I have been broken, but I am not destroyed. The truth does not shake. The lies will fade, and time will reveal everything,” he added.
Marley reaffirmed his support for Mohbad despite the accusations, saying that speaking the truth from the beginning would have given his late associate the rest he deserved.
He concluded by declaring his trust in divine justice, confident that the truth would eventually prevail.
