Naira Marley shares old chats with Iyabo Ojo

Naira Marley has shared old chats with Iyabo Ojo, revealing past requests for favours, amid ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]inger Naira Marley has stirred reactions on social media after sharing past conversations with actress Iyabo Ojo, months after she publicly accused him of involvement in the alleged bullying of late singer Mohbad.

Iyabo Ojo had earlier called out Naira Marley following Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, alleging that he contributed to the singer’s struggles.

The late musician, who was formerly signed to Marley’s record label, was buried the next day. However, due to public outcry over the circumstances surrounding his passing, the Lagos State Police Command later exhumed his body for an autopsy.

In a surprising turn of events on Monday, Naira Marley took to his Instagram story to post screenshots of old private chats with Iyabo Ojo from 2021 to 2022.

The conversations revealed that the actress had previously sought favours from him, including invitations to her movie premiere and late mother’s remembrance party. She also requested his support in promoting her adopted son, who is an aspiring singer.

Notably, Marley shared the screenshots without any captions or explanations, leaving many social media users to speculate about his intentions.

While some fans questioned the relevance of the old messages to the current controversy, others suggested that the singer was attempting to shift the narrative or highlight a past cordial relationship with Iyabo Ojo before the recent fallout.

The viral posts have reignited discussions about the ongoing Mohbad investigation and the role various public figures have played in the case.

As reactions continue to pour in, neither Iyabo Ojo nor Naira Marley has issued further statements regarding the shared messages.
