“We are pleased to announce the disbursement of ₦6,972,000.00 to 10 beneficiaries at African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja,” NELFUND stated.
The university, through its Registrar Mustapha Abdul, acknowledged receipt of the funds, confirming that the amount was disbursed on Monday, July 21, 2025.
“We deeply appreciate this timely intervention, which will significantly ease the financial burdens of our beneficiaries and enhance their ability to focus on their academic pursuit,” the management said in a press release.
The NELFUND Disbursement is part of the broader implementation of the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, signed into law by President Bola Tinubu on April 3, 2024.
The Fund was created to provide sustainable educational and skill development financing for Nigerian youths.
In its broader efforts, the Federal Government revealed that over ₦59 billion has been disbursed through NELFUND, with more than 600,000 students already onboarded across Nigeria.
