The two-day event will be headlined by President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Energy, Olu Verheijen, who will deliver the keynote address and serve as Chief Host.
Event Director, Osaze Isesele, confirmed the line-up in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.
Confirmed speakers include Ed Ubong, Coordinating Director of the Decade of Gas Secretariat; NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber;
Akachukwu Nwokedi, President of the Nigeria Gas Association; and Wole Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria.
International participation will feature Andrea Stegher, President of the International Gas Union; David Oluseyi Ige, CEO of GasInvest Ltd and Non-Executive Director at NNPC Ltd; Abiodun Ogunjobi, Group CTO of Panocean Newcross Group; Eyono Fatayi-Williams, President of the Women in Energy Network; Damilola Owolabi-Osinusi, CEO of Selai Gas Station Ltd; and Oga Adejo-Ogiri, Executive Secretary of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas.
Themed “Charting New Opportunities for Investment, Growth & Industrialisation”, the forum will bring together government officials, energy executives, and investors to accelerate dialogue around Nigeria’s gas monetisation agenda and its role in powering industrialisation and energy security across West Africa.
According to Isesele, the Gas Investment Forum 2025 has grown into a vital platform for strategic dialogue, serving as a meeting point for public and private sector stakeholders.
“It is where investment opportunities are identified, partnerships are built, and innovation is showcased to support the country’s Decade of Gas policy,” he said.
The event, endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, will also feature a trade exhibition.
This showcase will allow local and international companies to present new technologies, investment-ready projects, and innovative energy solutions.
Organisers highlighted that the forum will not only strengthen Nigeria’s industrial growth agenda but also advance West Africa’s ambition of leveraging natural gas for sustainable development, energy transition, and regional integration.
Projections already indicate that Nigeria alone will add more than 75 billion cubic meters of gas between 2023 and 2050, contributing to nearly 92 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa’s natural gas demand growth.
