Lokpobiri, who commended Aradel for its “innovation and growth”, noted that the company’s fully integrated status showed the resilience and resourcefulness of Nigeria.

According to the minister, an average Nigerian is resilient and resourceful wherever he finds himself, declaring that Aradel is “the embodiment of a true Nigerian”.

He stated that Aradel was “maximising the opportunities that this place has created for you, in every material way—upstream, downstream and midstream”.

Lokpobiri assured Aradel of the government’s support, saying, “Government will support you in any way we can and ensure that you can get the best environment that is globally competitive.”

The minister also promised that all bottlenecks being encountered by the operating companies in the oil and gas sector would be addressed one after another.

During his visit, the minister toured various locations within the Ogbele Facility, including the 11,000 barrels per day refinery, the loading gantry, the 20kbbls/d flow station, the 100 million standard cubic feet per day gas processing plant, the product tank farm and the rigs currently mobilised as part of the company’s 2024 Exploration and Appraisal Drilling Campaign.

Earlier, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Aradel Holdings Plc, Adegbite Falade, gave an overview of the company’s core values and strategic direction.

Falade also highlighted the company’s current projects and commitment to its host communities through the MURALI Trust.

He appreciated the Federal Government and the host communities in Rivers State for their continuous support, while also highlighting additional areas of partnership.

“On behalf of Aradel Holdings Plc, I thank the government for their continuous regulatory oversight and support, without which Aradel Holdings Plc would not be where it is today. Aradel is committed to its path of transformation and progress, and we remain fully committed to providing sustainable energy solutions that support economic growth,” Falade stated.

Located in Rivers State, Ogbele is Aradel’s flagship upstream asset.

The company acquired the Ogbele Marginal Field, now in PML 14, in 2,000 from the NNPC/Chevron JV.

Aradel Holdings is a fully integrated energy company in Nigeria with interests in multiple oil and gas assets.
