The coronation is more than tradition restored; it is destiny fulfilled. With joy and reverence, the sons and daughters of Agunjin welcomed their new monarch, whose leadership promises peace, unity, and sustainable progress.
Born into the revered Ariwajoye Adekeye Royal Family in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Adekeye is the proud nephew of the late Oba Jimoh Ajide Adekeye and grandson of Oba Alade Adekeye.
Their names remain deeply woven into the heritage of Agunjin.
A distinguished Nigerian based in New York, the new king is a seasoned professional in cinematography, international trade, and hospitality.
His global exposure and professionalism now blend with his ancestral duty, offering Agunjin a bridge between tradition and modern development.
The Adekeye Royal Family extended profound gratitude to leaders who supported this historic restoration, including His Excellency AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Executive Governor of Kwara State, the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, and the Ifelodun Traditional Council, among many others.
In a solemn reminder of destiny, Yoruba wisdom declares: “Adé kì í wọ́ lórí aláìní orí” the crown does not rest on a head without purpose.
True to these words, Oba Adekeye wears the crown not as mere ornament but as a sacred trust.
His vision is noble: to champion sustainable growth, preserve cherished traditions, and unite Agunjin people at home and abroad under one banner of pride.
