In a continued agitations over the ban handed down to the operators of commercial motorcycles and tricycle by the Lagos State government, pockets of clashes had been witnessed across the state.
One of such occurred at Iyana Ipaja on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, where vehicles belonging to the Nigerian Police Force and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were vandalised by the protesting aggrieved members of the public.
Though the details are still sketchy at the time of this report, it was reported that in an attempt to arrest and track down the rampaging touts tagged Alimosho boys, who were also bent on destroying properties belonging to the government, three people were allegedly killed as a result of stray bullets, among them was a student of yet to be disclosed secondary school.
When shot, the girl who was rushed to a nearby hospital by passersby, was alleged to have suffered serious injury.
It was alleged that guns were used by both parties as some police officers also sustained serious injuries.
