Alhaji Wasiu Omo Gbolahan Olasunkami Adewale Ayinde is a man of destiny, focused and passionate about his aspirations.

What do you call a man who rose from the streets of Isale Eko chasing his dreams to become a musician, highly inspired by Islamic beliefs, before venturing into acting and ultimately returning to Fuji music, a genre that has both blessed him and been blessed by him?

Over the years, the princely singer from the Fidipote family has remained resolute, with his gaze fixed firmly on the future.

Despite his royal status, Alhaji Wasiu has dedicated himself to serving the people of Ijebu, humanity, and the entertainment industry, emerging as one of Africa’s most prominent figures in music today.

Known affectionately as KWAM 1 or K1-de Ultimate, he cherishes his Yoruba heritage and, more specifically, his roots in Ijebu, where he has resided for the past decade.

Since returning to Ijebu, he has established businesses and actively contributed to the region’s development.

It is, therefore, no surprise that the Awujale of Ijebuland, the esteemed Monarch, has acknowledged KWAM 1’s efforts and contributions to the growth of Ijebuland by bestowing upon him the prestigious title of Olori Omo Oba—a position previously held by banking magnate Otunba Subomi Balogun until his passing.

As Alhaji Wasiu celebrates his 67th birthday in good health, we pray for a peaceful and prosperous tenure ahead.

Long may you live, Olori Omo Oba.

Long may you live, Awujale.

Long may Ijebu prosper.
