Ondo 2024: Akoko obas, elders, indigenes throw weight behind Funmi Ayinke Adekojo

As the race for the Ondo State Governor’s House intensifies, 40-year-old Engr. Funmi Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo, a technocrat and business guru, emerges as a prominent contender actively shaping the political landscape.

Engaging in earnest consultations, Funmi Ayinke’s campaign is gaining momentum, starting from her hometown, Akoko.

The people of Akoko displayed unbridled enthusiasm as they rallied behind their accomplished daughter.

Notable Obas and elders of the region joined forces at the palace of the Zaki of Arigidi in Akoko land, where they bestowed their blessings upon the successful business mogul.

Expressing admiration for her philanthropic endeavours over the years, they particularly commended her for embodying integrity as a woman.

The Kabiyesi of Isua Akoko expressed joy at the prospect of a female candidate for governor, emphasizing the high level of education in Akoko and the numerous illustrious sons and daughters who have demonstrated that women can excel in any field.

Funmi Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo, the MD/CEO of a leading Nigerian engineering company, is vying for the APC Governorship Ticket under the banner of “Hope for All.”

Widely acknowledged as one of the top contenders, political pundits anticipate her securing the ticket due to her meticulous preparation and widespread acceptance across all constituencies.
