Ooni of Ife visits Olubadan designate Rashidi Ladoja in Ibadan ahead of his installation as the 44th Olubadan
The visit took place on Sunday, just days before Chief Ladoja’s installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.

His enthronement follows the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on 7 July 2025 at the age of 90.
Both paramount rulers were seen exchanging warm pleasantries, underscoring the deep bonds that exist among traditional institutions in Yorubaland.
The meeting also highlighted the significance of unity between the thrones of Ife and Ibadan, two of the most influential monarchies in southwestern Nigeria.
The forthcoming installation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja is expected to draw dignitaries, traditional rulers, and political leaders from across the country in a historic celebration of Ibadan’s royal heritage.
