In preparation for the upcoming nationwide protest, the Osun State Government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools.
On Monday evening, the Permanent Secretary of Education, Mr. Kehinde Jimoh, instructed parents to take their children home before the protest began. He emphasized that both public and private schools must observe a mandatory third-term break.
The statement advised all parents, guardians, and school officials in Osun State to follow this directive and ensure the safety of students during the vacation period. Schools are to begin their third-term break on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
