In a release shared with Freelanews, the senator representing Ogun East at the national assembly stated that his antecedents in statecraft galvanized the honour.
“This is to express my sincerest congratulations to you and your family on the conferment of the National Honour as the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) on you by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces, His Excellency, Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR on Sunday, 28th of May, 2023.
“I believe the honour speaks to your antecedents in statecraft where you must have distinguished yourself and contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian society.
“This conferment is also coming on the heels of your 63rd birthday celebration.
