[dropcap]S[/dropcap]enator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East and former governor of Ogun State, has kept his promise by donating 500KVA transformers to several communities in Ogun State.

Beneficiaries include Sotubo Community in Sagamu, Ijagun in Odogbolu, Idagunren in Ijebu East, and Odoshenlu in Ijebu North East, providing critical access to electricity for these areas.

Oba Oluseyi Odutola of Sotubo expressed gratitude for the senator’s gesture, stating that it would now power the community’s markets, palace, and police station.

The monarch, full of praise, acknowledged Senator Daniel’s efforts, along with the support of President Bola Tinubu, in making this project a reality.

“I’ve been waiting for hours knowing the transformer was coming today, and I’m thrilled it has been delivered,” Oba Odutola shared enthusiastically.

Residents of Ijagun were equally jubilant, welcoming the transformer with music and dance. Chief Kayode Okeowo, Eketa Ilu Ijagun, expressed appreciation, calling the transformer a much-needed gift that would benefit the entire community.

“May Senator Gbenga Daniel continue to prosper in all his endeavours,” he said.

Other community members echoed similar sentiments. Gbenga Oduyemi from Ijagun commented, “We’ve been without power for a long time. This transformer couldn’t have come at a better time, and we are extremely grateful.”

Mrs Dupe Osabiya, APC chairman of Ward 7 Ishanyi in Ijebu North East, highlighted the significance of the senator’s contribution.

“We’ve been in darkness for one and a half years, but Otunba Daniel has brought light to our community. May he never know darkness in his own life.”

The donation of the transformers is part of a broader effort by Senator Daniel to uplift his constituency.

Over the past year, he has submitted 11 bills, including the South West Development Commission Bill and the Federal College of Aviation Technology Bill, among others.

His involvement in critical Senate committees, such as the Navy and National Identity & Population, cemented his dedication to national development.

In addition to his legislative work, Senator Daniel has spearheaded numerous community projects.

These include renovating local schools, installing boreholes, organising medical outreach programmes, and providing employment opportunities across various federal ministries and agencies.

Through his fully operational constituency offices in Abuja and Sagamu, Senator Daniel ensures direct communication and engagement with his constituents, demonstrating his commitment to serving the people of Ogun East and beyond.

His consistent delivery of infrastructure and empowerment initiatives has solidified his reputation as a leader who follows through on his promises.
