Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola offered a peculiar explanation for the cut on his nose following his team’s 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the Champions League.
The injury, which was visible when Guardiola arrived at the Etihad Stadium for the match, seemed to have worsened by the end of the game, with scratches also appearing on his head as he watched his side squander a 3-0 lead.

When questioned about the injury during a post-match press conference, Guardiola casually responded, “I cut it with my finger.”
The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss then made a seemingly lighthearted comment, saying, “I want to hurt myself,” leaving reporters puzzled.
The injury was an odd distraction in an otherwise frustrating night for Guardiola, whose City side threw away a commanding lead after goals from Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan had put them 3-0 up early in the second half.
Despite dominating for much of the game, City conceded three goals in the final 15 minutes, including a dramatic equaliser by Feyenoord in the dying seconds.
This result means City have now gone six games without a win, marking their longest winless run since Guardiola’s first season in charge, eight years ago.
