The Role:
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in PR and be passionate about delivering outstanding coverage for their clients. Ideally the candidate will have a proven track record in consumer and lifestyle PR, with exceptional contacts across traditional, digital and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
PR SPECIFIC:
- Write press releases, news stories and photo captions
- Pitch stories, press releases and features by phone, face-to-face meetings and email to national, regional and trade journalists across print, broadcast, online and influencers
- Strong relationships with news, picture, consumer and lifestyle media contacts
- Good time management to ensure response to media in a timely manner
- Monitor media coverage and report results to client in timely manner
- Ability to write briefing documents for photographers, videographers and talent
- Ability to schedule media plans for talent media days
CLIENT SERVICING:
- Excellent client servicing including time-keeping and general communication on both the phone and email
- Ability to deliver above and beyond KPIs
- Attend client events
- Brainstorm to develop ideas and PR plans to make them truly exceptional
- Deliver analytics reports on media and social media, including readership, engagement and follower figure
GENERAL:
- Daily monitoring of the news agenda across the agency’s business (shared amongst the entire PR team)
- Management of cost trackers
- Report to two separate team Account Directors
Must Haves:
- At least two years’ PR experience
- Contacts across lifestyle, consumer and sports media
- Proven ability to deliver on KPIs
- Understanding public relations and influencer relations in all of its guises
- Ability to write well and develop Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other collateral materials
- Passionate. Energetic. Strong positive attitude
- Strong writing skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
