A yet to be identified student of the popular secondary school, Queens College, has caused a stir in the social media when some videos about her and someone believed to be her mother hit the internet.

According to reports, the student who wore make up and faux lashes, was denied entry to the school.

This decision did not go down well with the mother and resulted in hot altercation and brawl with a security guard attached to the school.

In one of the videos, some staff of the school could be seen trying to forcefully take pictures of the student. Her mother could also be seen trying to shield the girl’s face.

The second video shows the parent locking the shirt of a security guard and could be heard saying “why did you push me? why did you push her?”.

While some social media users feel the school did wrong by trying to take pictures and make recordings of the girl, others think the mother was wrong for allowing her daughter wear artificial lashes and make up to school.

However, another parent of the school wrote:

“Put the girl aside and get the other side of the story from the mother of the girl. Should a security man push a wife/mother to correct the wrong of a daughter?. Should a security guy forcefully evict a parent? You don’t want to experience those security guys and the school Management. I was insulted on Saturday by a lady that called herself a senior staff of the school because I insisted she must Obey simple traffic regulation set by the school to make movement within the school easier. The school treats parents like slaves. The school Extort parents at every given opportunity . Just imagine the school asking parents to bring paints valued at N9,000 because some students wrote on the wall of their hostel. Paint brought and 3 months after the wall is still not painted. Parents are requested to bring utilities worth about N9,000 at every resumption with boarders 2,500. You don’t have good parents and school Management relationship. Why couldn’t a school Management staff called the woman and child into our office to settle the matter and make the girl serve punishment for indecent behaviour or dressing? Why must it be the security guy given authority to enforce laws without the school Management ? During resumption the school keeps parents inside sun and rains while they stay under canopy. You heard a woman saying that the girl will never come back to the school again. Does she possessed such authority in a federal government school? The answer is no! Its only the ministry of education that can make such statement and not even the principal! And should the girl be destroy because of eyes lashes and nails painting and the mother’s behaviour? I’m sure the offence attracts a minimum punishment and not life condemnation.”

Do you think parents should allow their secondary school girls wear makeup and fix eye lashes to school?
