Rotary Club Ikeja Alausa visits Oba of Oregun, reinforcing ties and unveiling plans to train 300 youths in digital skills for community development
Rotary Club Ikeja Alausa has paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Oregun, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Olukunmi Olusesan Akingbola Ikudoro, as part of its efforts to strengthen local engagement and deepen development collaboration.

The club’s president, Rotarian Stella Arukwe, led the board members to the royal palace.
The Oba warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed delight at their presence, describing the moment as a reaffirmation of Rotary’s commitment to positive change.
In her remarks, Rtn. Arukwe praised the monarch’s leadership and longstanding contributions to the wellbeing of the community.
“We are here not only to honour you, Your Majesty, but also to deepen collaboration,” she said.
She noted that working closely with the Oba and his cabinet would allow for a better understanding of community needs and ensure that Rotary’s interventions remain relevant and inclusive.

The Oba lauded the club’s consistency and vision.
He described the visit as timely and pledged his full support to Rotary’s developmental efforts in the community.
“Rotary has always been visible in our society,” he said.
“You are welcome here, and we are ready to collaborate with you in any area that brings growth and benefit to our people.”
