Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointment Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin as the Managing Director of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority.

This was contained in an internal memo addressed to staff of the agency signed by T. A. Dosunmu.

The internal memo asked all staff of the agency to accord Gbadegesin the “usual cooperation.

The internal memo read, “I wish to refer to the above subject matter and to convey the appointment of Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, The Governor of Lagos State with effect from 13th July, 2023.

“The Management and members of staff are to accord him our usual cooperation.”

Gbadegesin’s appointment comes after the sack of former MD Ibrahim Odumboni by Sanwo-Olu.

The new boss is returning to LAWMA after he had earlier resigned as MD/CEO August 19, 2020 for personal reasons.
