Emphasizing the power of education in breaking the chains of poverty and promoting global peace, Senator Daniel outlined his vision for a more progressive and impactful learning system.

International Education Day, observed annually on January 24th, serves as a global platform to acknowledge the importance of education in fostering peace, sustainable development, and human rights. Senator Gbenga Daniel took this occasion to address the pressing need for a comprehensive overhaul of the educational approach in Nigeria.

In his statement made available to the media, Senator Daniel stressed the importance of rethinking the process of knowledge acquisition, moving away from traditional methods towards a more value-added, problem-solving, and result-oriented model. He emphasized that education should be a catalyst for human progress and societal development, unlocking the untapped potentials within individuals.

“Education is about building minds and unlocking potentials,” remarked Senator Gbenga Daniel. “To truly liberate our society from the shackles of poverty and achieve lasting peace, we need to refocus our educational efforts on producing individuals who can contribute meaningfully to societal growth.”

The senator highlighted the necessity of aligning educational goals with real-world problem-solving skills. He called for a curriculum that instills critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, preparing students for the challenges of the modern world.

“By making a deliberate shift towards a value-added education system, we can ensure that our citizens are equipped not only with knowledge but also with the ability to apply that knowledge in practical ways,” Senator Daniel stated.
