Oba Aromolaran, who served on the throne for 40 years, recently joined his ancestors, leaving behind a lasting legacy as a custodian of Yoruba history and culture.
In his message of condolence, Senator Daniel, who holds the honorary title of Asoju Oba of Ijeshaland, described the monarch’s passing as a personal loss, stating, “This is a shock to me, especially because as the Asoju Oba of Ijeshaland, we got closer enough to know that Nigeria and Yorubaland will miss a lot with this painful passage at this time.”
He continued by highlighting the monarch’s contributions: “The country has lost a refined personality who was a custodian of our history and culture.”
Senator Daniel also extended his condolences to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, the people of Osun State, Oba Aromolaran’s family, and the wider community of Ijeshaland.
Oba Adekunle Aromolaran was widely respected for his dedication to preserving the traditions and values of the Yoruba people throughout his four decades as the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland.
