DeVon Franklin and Meagan Good, a well-known movie producer, have called it quits after nine years of marriage.

Devon filed for divorce from actress Meagan Good on Monday, December 20 due to irreconcilable differences, claiming they had been separated since August.

He revealed the choice on his Instagram page, saying it was made after much prayer and thought.

“We have decided to walk into our futures individually but forever united,” he wrote in his message, “after much prayer and thought.”

“We are celebrating almost a decade of marriage and an everlasting love.There is no one to blame; we believe this is the next best step in our love’s progression.”

They’re “very appreciative for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife,” he added.

Devon sought in a document that neither party receive spousal assistance because they do not have children together.

Meagan immediately after the news broke out, shared a quote on her Instagram Story on Dec. 20, writing, “Healing is not pretty, but the other side is freaking beautiful.”
