Seyi Law celebrates Deeone’s record-breaking 52-hour stand-up comedy performance in Lagos, calling it a monumental feat of resilience and passion

Seyi Law has congratulated fellow comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Aderombi Martin, popularly known as Deeone, for achieving a remarkable 52-hour stand-up comedy marathon in Lagos.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Seyi Law described the feat as a monumental display of determination, resilience, and passion, commending Deeone for turning a bold vision into reality.

“What started as a joke to many was, in truth, a vision fuelled by passion and years of planning,” he wrote. “From 2021, the journey was long, demanding, and relentless, but today, it has become a reality.

A record-breaking 52 hours of performance is no small feat. It’s monumental.”

While official confirmation from the Guinness World Records is still pending, Seyi Law praised Deeone’s endurance and focus throughout the marathon, adding that his commitment had set a new standard for creative excellence.

He continued, “While we await the official confirmation, I want to celebrate your unwavering dedication, resilience, and sheer willpower.

You’ve done what most wouldn’t dare to attempt, and I pray this achievement opens doors to even greater success.”

In a short video posted on Saturday morning after the event, Deeone revealed that his initial goal was 60 hours but he successfully completed 52 hours and several minutes of continuous stand-up performance.

The comedian had earlier announced plans to break the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy show, with the event taking place from October 2 to 4, 2025, at Pallazo Lagos, Opebi, Ikeja.

The announcement, shared with a humorous flier designed like a traditional burial poster, sparked widespread online excitement and anticipation.
