An aspirant for the position of the Bayelsa State Football Association Chairman, Ebi Egbe, has said it was quite shameful that the association does not have a state office to ease its operations.

While explaining the need for a base to ease the operations of the association, he insisted that without an office there will be no positive progress.

Ebi Egbe made his position known while speaking with DAILY POST, a few hours before the delegate election in Yenagoa, the capital city.

Making reference to the slated election, Egbe said he remains the candidate to beat because he is the most qualified, exposed and has a workable manifesto that can position the association on the path of greatness.

His words, “Nothing is happening when it comes to football in Bayelsa State, so there’s a lot I will bring to the table”

I am confident about taking the day, I have a name in this sector and it must be protected. A level playing field is what I ask for. The delegates should be allowed to vote their conscience. It’s a shameful thing that Bayelsa FA does not have an office in Yenagoa, and we can’t continue like this.

When I am voted in it will be an opportunity to serve Bayelsa State and make other states envious of us, we want to change the narrative of football in the state. I have done that before and I will do it again.

I want to sell Bayelsa State to the rest of the world, I did one of the best Pitch in the state sixteen years ago, so I can do it again.
