The gospel singer made the remarks during her recent Lagos concert, a moment captured in a video shared by Adedimeji on Instagram on Thursday.

In the clip, Allyson invited the actor on stage, stressing that shared artistry holds greater weight than faith divides.
“Lateef is a creative, I am a creative, religion can’t separate us. Lateef is a child of God, I am a child of God.
We see our father differently, Lateef is my brother, so you can do with that whatever you like,” she told the audience before their joint performance.
Adedimeji, visibly moved, praised Allyson’s music for its spiritual resonance.
“Listening to BBO and Aunty Sola’s songs doesn’t make me less of a Muslim; your songs speak to me just like a Muslim song will speak to me. God is a formless entity,” he said.
Their duet was met with resounding applause, reflecting the audience’s appreciation for the unity and warmth the pair brought to the stage.
This is not the first time the two have performed together. In 2022, their collaboration stirred debate among fans, largely because of their religious backgrounds.
Yet both have consistently emphasised that creativity and friendship should rise above sectarian divides, with Adedimeji and his wife even appearing in Allyson’s music video Ife a dale.
