More revelation has trailed the ongoing political happenings in Abeokuta North local government area as a group of stakeholders in Oke Ogun has come out to denounce one of the APC Chairmanship aspirants, Olawale Salmon Bello.

According to the group, Bello has never been identified with Oke Ogun other than the fact that his maternal grandmother married to an Oke Ogun man.

Speaking to selected media, Alhaji Adebogun Akanni said, “We know Bello to be from Ago Ika. His mother was also from Ago Ika because Bello’s grandmother had already given birth to her daughter she brought to Oke-Ogun to remarry.”

The group warned that any attempt to impose someone, who is not from Oke Ogun to further their personal ambition shall be resisted.

“Those who want Bello as their candidate should not bring him to our domain. They should allow him run under Gbagura town he is known to have registered and maintain his voter’s registration. Our community is not a dump site as we also have competent sons and daughters who can advance our interest.

“His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, should come to our aid as the leader of APC in the state. The party leadership too should not allow this injustice to stand as it is capable of robbing us of our opportunity in the future. In clear terms, we reject Hon. Bello recommendation to be the party candidate on the basis of him being an Oke-Ogun man. He is not from Oke Ogun. Ki won ma gbe omo Oba f’Osun,” he concluded.
