Nigerian artist Kelechi Austin Miles, popularly known as Tekno, has firmly refuted rumors circulating on social media regarding his alleged receipt of N1 billion in royalties for his collaboration with Kizz Daniel on the song ‘Buga.’
The speculations, originating from a purported interview shared on the microblogging site X, claimed that Kizz Daniel had generously compensated Tekno with over N1 billion in royalties for their joint project. It was further suggested that Kizz Daniel had agreed to provide Tekno with 50% of all revenue generated from the song.
In response to these unfounded claims, Tekno took to his X handle to dismiss the rumors outright. He vehemently denied receiving such a substantial sum and expressed his disdain for the dissemination of false information. In a direct message to the individual responsible for the fabricated interview, Tekno issued a curse, condemning their actions.
His post on X read: “Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama. #Talkingshit.”
