There will be restriction of movement in Otta for annual rites, Olota palace announces

There is going to be restriction of both human and vehicular movements in Otta and its surrounding areas on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

According to the release made available to Freelanews, this restriction, whose aim is to foster progress, peace, and prosperity in the land, is part of the annual rites conducted in the entire Paramount and Ancient Otta Awori Kingdom.

The announcement was made through a public notice signed by High Chief Oyedele Deinde, representing the authority of Kabiyesi Olota and Olota-In-Council. It urged the general public to comply with the directive and ensure that their loved ones are informed.

These annual rites hold significant cultural and traditional importance in the Otta community, symbolizing a collective effort towards the well-being and development of the region.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their activities accordingly, taking into account the temporary movement restrictions during the specified hours. This measure aims to facilitate the smooth conduct of the ritual and ensure the safety and security of all participants.

This is to inform the general public that there will be restriction of both human and vehicular movements in Otta and its environs on Monday, 29th April, 2024 from 11pm till 3am in completion of the annual rites in the entire Paramount and Ancient Otta Awori Kingdom for the progress, peace, and prosperity of the land.
