According to fellow TikToker, Tunde Perry, who often appears in Salo’s livestreams, the incident took place on Thursday at a filling station in Lekki. Assailants stole Salo’s gold chain and shot him in the leg.

Salo is currently in critical condition at Perez Medcare Hospital, Lekki Phase 2, fighting for his life. Perry confirmed the incident, stating that some bystanders rushed Salo to the hospital after the attack.

Videos circulating on social media show Salo’s white Mercedes AMG GLE 43 stained with blood, with a bullet casing visible on the driver’s seat.

An eyewitness at the hospital, who chose to remain anonymous, reported that Salo’s condition remains dire, and visitors are being asked to pray for his recovery.

Salo had previously expressed concerns about his safety, asking his manager for security personnel in a video before the incident.

Meanwhile, Salo had a recent altercation with fellow TikToker Tobi Nation, over the purchase of an apartment in Lekki. Although Tobi Nation has since expressed sadness over the news and visited the hospital, he was not allowed to see Salo.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the attack, stating that an investigation is underway. More updates will follow as the situation develops.
