Toronto caregiver assault case: Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua arrested and charged with seven counts of assault at East York group home
Toronto Police Service has arrested Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, a 38-year-old caregiver, for allegedly assaulting several residents at a group home in East York.

The incidents reportedly occurred between November 1 and November 30, 2025, at a facility near Sibley Avenue and Dentonia Park Avenue.
Authorities said the case came to light following a report of an assault at approximately 9am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
After an initial investigation, Ejerua was declared wanted and his image was released to the public on December 31, 2025.
On Monday, January 12, 2026, the Toronto Police confirmed Ejerua’s arrest and that he had been charged with seven counts of assault.
He was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 10 Armoury Street, Toronto, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10am in Room 106.
