His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Supreme Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, has issued a clear cut directives on cashless operations for the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

In a memo dated 15th August, 2022, with reference number CCC/WHQ/EMF/PO/PD-03/08-22, His Eminence referred to his deliberations with State Evangelist, Superintendents of Provinces (S.O.P) and Shepherds at a meeting held at the Pastoral Residence in Lagos on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022, where the following directives on cashless operations in the Celestial Church of Christ were issued and expected to be implemented with immediate effect.

It was agreed that all parishes are to pay their monthly returns and harvest returns into the church’s designated bank account, while VSE S.F. Adeniyi could be contacted on 09037066851 for more information.

In addition, all Shepherds and the Parochial Committees of Parishes must not make any deductions from Pastoral Returns before paying such into the designated bank account of the church.

Also, all deductions and dues to parishes and shepherds would be worked out and paid back to parishes and functionaries promptly and appropriately.

In order to carry parishes located in rural areas along, especially where there are no banks, they are expected to contact their Circuit Head and Superintendent of province for guidance and compliance.

With the new directives, the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide stated that going forward, cash payments at the office are abolished.

In the release made available to Freelanews by the media head of the CCC Worldwide, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, total compliance to the directives are demanded while erring parishes would be sanctioned.

While breaking down the directives for more clarifications to cater for grey areas, the church stated that pastoral returns is one third of the parish monthly returns.

The shepherd and church workers get one third, while the parish retains one third.

CCC Worldwide further clarifies that the one third referred to in the pastoral directive to parishes is the pastoral returns and not the one third due to shepherd and church workers.

While the deductions mentioned above, which are to be paid before the end of last quarter, refer to the administrative cost deducted as the fund moves from parish to the district, from there to province until it gets to the divisional levels. These deductions are meant for the heads of these administrative level and not parish shepherds.

Parish Shepherds are expected to take their one third immediately before one third pastoral returns is transmitted directly to the bank.

“Anyone who sincerely has the interest of the Celestial Church of Christ at heart would ensure that the policy works,” the spiritual head stated while speaking from France, where he went on a working visit few weeks ago.

The policy is one of the steps being introduced to move the church forward and to ensure speedy progress and growth of the church.
