The prosecutor, Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the child’s mother reportedly caught the defendant inserting his finger into the girl’s anus after hearing her cry.
According to the prosecutor, the incident occurred on February 14 at the accused’s residence located at 35 Prince Ibeh Arinze Crescent in the Ago Palace area of Lagos.
Ademigbuji said the alleged act contravenes Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him in court.
