Messi has already confirmed he will continue his career in the Major Soccer League (MLS) after leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.

Ever since, there has been speculations he could be joined by Suarez, who they played together at Barcelona for six seasons.

But the 36-year-old insists he will respect his contract with Gremio.

“This is false, it is impossible,” Suarez told Uruguayan newspaper El Observador about the reports.

“I am very happy at Gremio and I have a contract until 2024.”

Suarez has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 24 appearances for Gremio.
