Two men were killed in Kwale, Delta State, in a tragic cult-related attack, including a groom-to-be, leaving the community in shock.
In a shocking act of cult-related violence in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, two men have lost their lives, and several others have been injured.
One of the victims, a groom-to-be, was tragically gunned down on what should have been the happiest day of his life — his wedding day.

Eyewitnesses say he was ambushed while walking with friends to buy wedding items, allegedly by members of a rival cult group. His body was discovered in a pool of blood, leaving his fiancée, family, and friends in deep mourning.
The second victim’s lifeless body was found at Utagba-Uno Junction, and multiple other victims were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
The violence has shaken the communities of Umusam, Utagba-Uno, and Isumpe, leaving residents in fear and confusion.
Security forces have responded by setting up roadblocks across the area to prevent further attacks and maintain peace.
However, the atmosphere in Kwale remains tense, with local parents and community members urging vigilance as the festive season approaches.
An eyewitness, who gave his name only as Boy, described the tragic scene, emphasising the heightened risk of cult-related violence.
“We all need to be vigilant about our movements and interactions to avoid falling victim to such incidents,” he warned.
Efforts to get an official response from the police have not been successful as of the latest reports. The loss of life and the wedding day tragedy have left the community grappling with both grief and fear.
