UBA celebrates Customer Service Week 2025

UBA Customer Service Week 2025 celebrates customer-first values with mission-driven programmes across Africa, reinforcing innovation and service excellence

UBA Customer Service Week 2025 has officially commenced, with United Bank for Africa Plc embracing the global theme, Mission Possible, to highlight its unwavering commitment to transforming customer experience across Africa and beyond.

The celebration, which runs throughout the week, aims to spotlight the bank’s “Customer First” philosophy—positioning the customer at the heart of every innovation, process, and engagement.

In a statement issued on Sunday, UBA underscored that this year’s theme reflects its ongoing dedication to making the impossible possible through technology, customer-centric culture, and continuous investment in solutions that matter.

Group Managing Director and CEO, Oliver Alawuba, reaffirmed the bank’s pledge to exceed expectations at every touchpoint. “As Africa’s global bank, we understand the diverse challenges our customers face,” he said.

“This week is not just a celebration; it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to turn challenges into opportunities and deliver transformative service.”

UBA’s Group Head of Customer Experience, Michelle Nwoga, added that the 2025 edition is not just symbolic but mission-driven.

“Whether it’s enabling real-time cross-border payments, expanding digital access, or empowering small businesses to grow against the odds, UBA is focused on making the seemingly impossible possible,” she noted.

As part of the week-long celebrations, UBA is launching a number of impact-led initiatives that go beyond banking.

These include dedicated business series for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), opportunities for students to take part in the National Essay Competition, and financial literacy programmes designed to equip customers for today’s economic challenges.

The UBA Customer Service Week 2025 also serves as a platform for the bank to showcase innovations already in motion, while inviting feedback from customers to further shape future experiences.

Celebrated globally, Customer Service Week honours the pivotal role of customer service and those who work to deliver it. For UBA, it remains a moment of reflection, appreciation, and aspiration.
