The crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state on Thursday, July 9, took another twist as the chairman of the party in the state accused two governors and a minister of being responsible for the political unrest in the state.
The Nation reports that the Ondo APC chairman, Henry Olu Olatuja, accused the Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, his Kaduna counterpart, Mallam Nasir El’Rufai and the minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi, of instigating undemocratic process causing an intra-party crisis in the state.
It was gathered that Olatuja also said ten out of the governorship aspirants in the state for July 20, governorship primary may boycott the exercise should the caretaker/caretaker/extra-ordinary national convention planning committee insists on the indirect mode of primary for the party’s primary in the state.
Recall Freelanews reported that the deputy speaker of Ondo state House of Assembly, Irioju Ogundeji and another member of the House, Adewale Williams, suspended by the leadership of the Assembly.
It was reported that both lawmakers were among the nine lawmakers that kicked against impeachment move against deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi.
