The Sweden international, who left United as a free agent, joins Unai Emery’s side after spending seven years at Old Trafford, where he made over 250 appearances and lifted both the Carabao Cup and Europa League.
The 30-year-old brings valuable experience and defensive depth to a Villa side looking to build on their strong Premier League and European campaigns under Emery.
Lindelöf, who first joined Manchester United from Benfica in 2017, had fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons and opted not to extend his contract.
His move to Villa is seen as a smart acquisition by the Midlands club, adding leadership and versatility to their backline.
“Victor brings calmness, quality, and experience at the highest level he’ll fit perfectly into our system,” Emery reportedly said.
