The Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy of Edo State on media, Mr. Ben Atu, on Saturday lamented the bad image being given to the state by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Pastor Ize-Iyamu, Kassim Afegbua and others.

He also described the last four years as the brightest chapter in Edo’s political history.

‘’Looking at what Governor Godwin Obaseki and Comrade Philip Shaibu are doing in Edo State, the people are satisfied and hopeful.’’

Speaking in Benin, Atu called for vigilance and commitment to tackle effectively forces working against the interest of the state.

‘’Godwin Obaseki and Phillip Shaibu have done Edo people proud. They are growing the private sector, creating jobs and turning the state economy around. All the good people of Edo can do for them is to acknowledge and thank them for developing the state’’.

The media aide sees much hope in the future of Edo State but such hope may largely be actualized only if the good people of Edo State vote the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on September 19, 2020.’

He said it was bad to note that the ruling party in the country degenerated to the worst under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Atu spoke at a reception organized for him by some media professionals in the country.

He urged the electorate to judge candidates strictly by their record of performance.

‘’Obaseki and Shaibu are displaying bold and effective leadership. They are committed to building infrastructure, providing affordable health care, creating high quality educational opportunities for all Edo State children and a more business friendly future for the state,” he concluded.
