It was fun, happiness and laughter for Rex Ebube Amatu and his new bride on September 5, 2020 when the duo tied the knot at his wedding, little did they know that the happiness will be short lived three days later.

According to reports gathered, the newly married man lost his life on September 8, 2020 at a check point allegedly mounted by the Nigerian Police Force for security checks.

Amatu, who was driving a Mercedes Benz SUV, was alleged to be reversing his vehicle to park properly on the order of policemen when a speeding lorry ran right into him.

It was believed that the lorry’s driver rammed into him when he was trying to evade the checkpoint, killing the newly married man instantly.
