The L.A. Clippers owner and his wife Connie just pledged more than $25 million, about N9,175,000,000, to help fight against COVID-19.
Steven Anthony Ballmer, an American businessman and investor who was the chief executive officer of Microsoft from January 13, 2000, to February 4, 2014, and the current owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), made the pledge by earmarking $10million of the money for the University of Washington Medicine’s Emergency Response Fund to expedite testing for a vaccine.

The rest of the money will go toward relief efforts in Seattle, Michigan and Los Angeles, according to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.
Ballmer is the latest big name in the sports world to pitch in — just yesterday, Drew Brees pledged $5milion to the State of Louisiana.
