Maybe I should marry an Indian man DJ Cuppy Kemi Filani blog min

Billionaire heiress and Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed that she is contemplating marrying an Indian.

The renowned entertainer disclosed this while sharing photos of an Indian wedding she attended via her Instagram account recently.

DJ Cuppy noted that the traditional wedding would be topnotch with the mixture of Nigerian and Indian cultures if it happens.

She wrote, “Maybe I should marry an Indian man. Imagine the traditional wedding.”

DJ Cuppy’s most recent relationship was with British boxer, Ryan Taylor.

Cuppy had in December 2022, confirmed her relationship with Taylor after a viral video suggested a marriage proposal.

They got engaged after 25 days of knowing each other.

However, the couple had generated whispers online after DJ Cuppy wasn’t spotted with her ring and had stopped flaunting her man on her page.

It was gathered from sources online that Cuppy and her man had initially unfollowed each other.

The billionaire heiress further expressed her sorrow on Instagram, stating that despite the shared history, they have now become “strangers.”

She wrote via her Instagram story, “And after all this, we’ve gone back to being strangers.”

Speaking about the issue for the first time publicly during a recent Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) conference in London, Cuppy said the incident is part of life.

She spoke about some of the setbacks in her life, including her failed jewellery line and academic challenges at Oxford.

Cuppy also said she is no longer engaged and expressed optimism about the future.

“Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background,” she said.

“Whether it is my failed jewellery line which I did at 28 years old, or going to University of Oxford at 29 and almost failing class.

“Perhaps a cherry on top, last year I got engaged, and I am no longer engaged, but such is life, and I know my story is still happening, and there is more to come, and I am okay with the uncertainties.”

DJ Cuppy is the daughter of Femi Otedola, the Nigerian billionaire businessman. She began her career in 2014 as the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards.

She is also an artiste with songs like ‘Gelato’, ‘Green Light’, ‘Vybe’, and ‘Currency’.
