The ongoing rivalry between Afrobeats superstars Wizkid and Davido has resurfaced, with Wizkid taking aim at his fellow Nigerian artist on X (formerly Twitter).

Announcing his first single of the year, Wizkid stirred controversy by directly dissing Davido, calling him “Frigodo” and making cutting remarks about his talent.

The latest flare-up comes after years of tension between the two stars, whose rivalry has had several public highs and lows.

Wizkid’s bold tweets included dismissing Davido as “wack” and lacking talent, igniting a strong response from fans and observers.

He also coined derogatory names for Davido, proclaiming his superiority in the Afrobeats scene by calling himself “Starboy General till Infinity.”

This social media spat has reignited their long-standing feud, which has previously seen both artists take personal shots at each other.

Recently, the rivalry escalated further with personal accusations. Davido accused Wizkid of domestic abuse against his girlfriend and baby mama, Jada Pollock.

In retaliation, Wizkid mocked Davido’s alleged infidelity, insinuating that the “FEM” singer had been caught in compromising situations.

The rivalry took another twist when Wizkid ridiculed Davido’s entry into the cryptocurrency market, advising his fans not to “hustle like a fool” after Davido launched a meme coin.

With fans of both stars heavily invested, this latest chapter in the Wizkid-Davido saga has added another layer to their complex relationship.

The Afrobeats world remains divided as the two powerhouses continue their public feud.
