The Rivers State Police Command has exhumed the body of notorious cultist, Gift Okpara popularly known as 2Baba, the prime suspect in the murder of former Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim in Odiemudie community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state in September last year.

This came barely a week after the police said the dreaded leader of the Iceland cult was killed during a joint security raid in Idu-Ekpeye community in Ahoada East, though some of his loyalists snatched his body and escaped with it.

A police source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said on Thursday that operatives swooped on some loyalists of the killed cult leader who led them into a deep forest where his remains were buried.

“The operation took place at midnight of Thursday and his body was exhumed and taken to town,” the source stated.

Already a trending video seen by our correspondent showed the moment when operatives holding torchlight were seen digging the ground and trying to exhume the decomposing corpse.

Meanwhile our correspondent gathered that the state police command has scheduled a media briefing by 11am today where details of how late 2 Baba’s body recovery is expected to be made known to journalists.
