The Napoli striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, believes his unique skills and success justify his high valuation.
Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has declared that he is worth more than his reported €100m valuation.
The Nigerian striker, a highly sought-after player in Europe, has been linked with major clubs, including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool.
Osimhen’s impressive form, which saw him score twice in a recent 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa, continues to keep him in the spotlight.
In the summer transfer window, both Chelsea and PSG were close to signing him, but the deal fell through due to Napoli’s hefty €130m release clause. As a result, Osimhen moved to Turkey on a season-long loan.
On Monday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea are preparing a £40m bid for Osimhen in January, sparking controversy among fans who believe the suggested price undervalues the Africa Player of the Year. Despite this, Napoli clarified that no current negotiations are ongoing.
In response to his transfer valuation, Osimhen stated, “I am worth more than €100m. There are few players like me in the world who have achieved the same results and success.” He further explained that his abilities and contributions on the pitch justify his high market price.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a club-record fee of €70m, going on to play a crucial role in helping them secure their first Serie A title in over 30 years, scoring 26 league goals in the 2022/23 season.
